How can we be so stupid?

By saying stupid I don't wish to be mean, rather i'm referring to some irrational decisions that we make almost each day.

*We're unable to pick a dress for ourselves, until we have tried several of them on and checked them in every manner. Still we don't fail to judge people by their first look from a mile away!!

*When we witness our friends doing better off than us, most of us have a tinge of jealousy and instead
of trying to climb the ladder of success higher, we start to pull our friends down.

*For over twenty years parents love their kids with all they have, selflessly, bearing all the
pain and disappointment that their kids gift them now and then. All they want is to see their child
happy....and yet we go ahead lying to them most of the time without a care. Sometimes for an outing
with friends, while our parents think we are in schools or colleges, or sometimes about that special
someone who happens to change quite often.

*Well, the above point reminds me of another one. Most of the people my age, somehow, fall in love at
first sight.….their love is the world to them. So what if that world lasts for only a matter
of months and more than love it turns into a job?!...they can always start off with someone else in no
time!! excellent talent they have!

*We often give extremely mature advice, but seldom do we act mature.
If one makes a mistake, he seeks forgiveness of the person concerned, after all its just a human error.
Then why is it that the same person can't forgive someone else even over the slightest error??
sometimes people go a step further and let these simple things result in long time enmity.

Many a times I wonder that we all were much better as small kids not only for the fact that we had carefree days but also because we never knew how to tell a lie or be someone else other than being ourselves. Saying whatever we felt was correct. A simple “sorry” and “it's okay” made everything alright in a matter of minutes and friends were made almost instantly. Our parents were our best friends and we never judged anyone by how they looked.

  1. Good work for a tyro. But long way to go sur! The topic looks well thought out. Continue writing and that will automatically cease to happen in the subsequent posts. And spontaneity is kinda required. :P
One cure : Keep writing. ;)
